Faith in Action, Love in Motion

10 PM Worship Every Sunday

Faith in Action

As Christians, it is not enough to express our faith merely through empty words; our faith must be lived out through action. We are called to imitate Christ and His love for others in all that we do. It is through our actions that others can witness the transformative power of God's love and be drawn closer to Him. By living out our faith in tangible ways, we can be a beacon of hope and inspiration to those around us.

Love Your Neighbor

Our call to love our neighbor is not limited to grand gestures or special occasions, but it extends to our everyday lives. In the hustle and bustle of our routines, we can show love to our neighbors through small acts of kindness, such as a smile, a kind word, or a simple gesture of support. Loving our neighbors means treating them with respect, dignity, and compassion, regardless of their background, beliefs, or circumstances. It means going out of our way to make them feel valued and cared for. By embodying the teachings of Christ and living out the love that He showed to us, we can make a difference in the lives of those around us and create a community built on love and inclusion.

Serve Like Jesus

Serving like Jesus means actively seeking opportunities to serve and show kindness to those around us. Whether it's volunteering at a local homeless shelter, donating to those in need, or simply lending a listening ear to someone who is hurting, we can demonstrate our faith by embodying the values and teachings of Christ. Serving like Jesus means selflessly extending love, compassion, and grace to others, mirroring His example of humility and sacrificial care.

Take the next step in your faith

Taking the next step in your faith means participating in a community of other believers in Christ who will both challenge you and love you. By becoming actively involved in the church community, you can deepen their faith and contribute to the growth and fellowship of others. Through this journey, you have the chance to develop your spiritual understanding, engage in meaningful service opportunities, and build lasting relationships with fellow believers.

See what God can do in your family

At Presbyterian Church of the Mountain, we believe that church is good for families because it provides a unique environment where children can grow as independent learners, while also offering special opportunities for families to come together and strengthen their bonds through Christ. Our programs are designed to support individual growth and development, while also fostering a sense of togetherness and shared experiences that enrich family relationships.

Hikers Ministry

Our Hikers Ministry began in 1976 when the church opened a center for thru-hikers on the Appalachian Trail. We are the oldest hiker hostel on the Trail, welcoming foot-weary hikers from around the world. For those making the long trek on the Trail, we offer multiple kinds of support. We have a bunk room, shower, lavatory, and sitting room inside, and a three-sided shelter called Matt’s Place outside. While there is no fee, donations are accepted. Every Thursday evening, from 6 PM-8 PM, the church has potluck dinners for hikers and the community. All are welcome to come and meet our hikers who arrive from around the world.
